A comprehensive reform of the Reproductive Medicine Law (FMedG) came into force in Austria at the start of 2015. This reform includes a series of new regulations that include in particular the opportunity of in vitro fertilisation for same-sex couples, as well as eff donations and pre-implantation diagnostics.

We have looked into these reforms in detail, have used them successfully for some time now, and would be delighted to arrange a consultation at any time to discuss the options with you. Homosexual couples with a desire to conceive:

We offer the entire spectrum of fertility medicine treatments, specifically designed to suit the needs of this patient group.
Donor semen is always needed to satisfy the desire to conceive, of course. This is why couples, whether married or living together, require a notarised declaration of informed consent before we can proceed with the fertility treatment. This notarial act specifies that both women will accept a duty of care for the child.

The Austrian IVF Fund also provides financial support to homosexual couples for artificial insemination, provided it is indicated.

We offer regular information evenings especially for homosexual couples, as fertility treatment for lesbian couples differs in some areas from what can be offered to heterosexual couples. These evenings provide a good opportunity to answer specific questions. Information evening dates
